The beach is connected to the Suyambulingam Swamy temple, but it is open to all with multiple entrances and ample car parking available. Unfortunately, the beach is not well-maintained, with lots of plastic wrappers and waste visible. I observed an ice cream vendor encouraging customers to litter on the land instead of using the nearby trash bin.
I hope someone in charge of the beach takes notice and addresses these issues. The recent flood has made the water somewhat dirty, but not excessively so. There are rock barriers on the beach, so be cautious when playing in the water. It is advisable to wear sandals when exiting the water, as there are many broken glass pieces on the beach.
