Port Bruce is a quiet town in the winter and a happy and friendly town in the summer. The sunsets are beautiful from the beach. In the summer months. An accessibility mat is placed to assist those with mobility problems to access the beach, and there is a wooden ramp and platform available by the pier with wheelchair access. Seeing many fishermen/women on the pier fishing for perch is a common sight. There is a nice Pavillion and a kids park (including a sprinkler) across from the pier.
The local food is good (according to my husband) and covers many options. However, as someone with gluten allergies, I have found there isn't anything here that I can safely eat.
Half of the beach is left natural and often has a lot of large tree logs and lake debris covering the beach area. However, the butterflies and dragonflies, especially during their migration periods, are so beautiful to see fluttering through the dunes!!!
Parking is free but fills up quickly on hot days in the summer.
