The ongoing issue of a local smallholder aggressively blocking access to this public beach remains unresolved. When will Mayo Council step in to address this? It's a disgrace to both Mayo and Ireland.

It's incredibly unjust and shameful that landowners are restricting public access to government-owned foreshore. They falsely claim it is part of Lost Valley, but in reality, they have blocked off access to this stunning beach. Moreover, they are neglecting the area, causing damage to this natural beauty by installing concrete posts and fencing that can trap and injure animals. Additionally, there were large barrels of unknown substances dumped on the shore. The sign they posted is certainly misleading! Action needs to be taken to address this situation. It's clear they are driven by greed, attempting to make beach access exclusive to those who pay €25 per adult for a tour of their land.

A national treasure has been taken from the public by a greedy local family seeking to make extra money. They have restricted access to the coastline, violating numerous regulations. However, justice will ultimately prevail.

The proprietor was extremely rude. We wanted to visit Uggool beach, but the road appeared to be closed. There were signs, barriers, and a CCTV camera preventing access. Suddenly, this landowner showed up, and when we asked if we could visit the beach, he demanded 25€ for a guided tour of his farm. In the end, we turned the car around. It's a shame that people try to profit from public spaces. Nature *should* be accessible to everyone.

Stunning beach located between Silver Strand and Killary Harbour. It can be a bit tricky to reach, but it's definitely worth the effort. Be sure to respect the landowner's rights, but don't be misled by any claims or distractions you might encounter—there are no private beaches in Ireland!
