We almost missed out on this stunning beach because we had ridden to the end of the heritage bike trail and were planning to turn back. However, we decided to follow the road to the bathroom before making the 10-mile return trip. I'm so glad we did. This place was a breathtaking surprise. The water is a gorgeous tropical color, and the beach was lovely. Although it was busy, it wasn’t crowded. If you know what to look for, you can find some good-sized Petoskey stones here. I was unlucky in my search, but a kind lady gave one to my kiddo. It was so nice of her, even though the kid managed to lose it within thirty seconds of getting to the bike. I do wish I had been better prepared and packed a picnic lunch because this would have been a marvelous spot for it. I wish my pictures did the place justice, but alas, I’m still in the learning phase.
