We visited this location with friends on April 23, drawn by its beautiful setting. We chose a table by the sea and requested an umbrella for shade. While umbrellas were provided for two other tables, we were told that ours couldn't have one because there was no umbrella hole. We specifically came for a seaside breakfast and declined to sit indoors, but were informed there was no alternative. Since our breakfast was already served, we didn't want to move to another table. Consequently, we had our meal under the sun in 29-degree weather. After finishing, an employee asked if we could move to another table to accommodate new guests. Initially, we declined, and the staff member politely cleared our table. Eventually, we did switch tables and requested the menu, which took 15-20 minutes to arrive. This place has potential, but due to the service issues, I wouldn't choose to come back.
This hidden gem in the Aegean Sea is more of a local swim spot than a tourist destination. The shoreline is mostly concrete and somewhat eroded, so it's not ideal for sunbathing. However, you can enter the water via the boat ramp on the side closest to the shore. Be cautious, as entering the water elsewhere can be dangerous due to slippery algae on the boat ramp's seaside edge and sea urchin-covered rocks near the platform. Despite these challenges, it's a stunning place to swim! My husband had a great time exploring with his goggles. As we were about to leave, we noticed some locals packing up their belongings, including chairs, and wading down the shore to the beach. We attempted to reach the beach by car but couldn't find an access point.
The beach is typically a spot where people park their cars and enjoy some drinks. The view is particularly stunning during the evening, and it can be quite challenging to find a spot on weekends when the weather is nice. It's a popular location for barbecues, photography sessions, and is open to the public. Half of the area is designated for picnics, while the other half is for those who wish to consume alcohol.
The restaurant located here is the absolute worst. The service is terrible, the portions are incredibly small, and the fish is ridiculously expensive. They don't even announce the prices, so we ended up paying 100tl for just one fish and 30tl for calamari. I've never written a negative review before, but I strongly advise against going there. It's just bad in every aspect.
This is a fantastic and delightful spot managed by Menderes Municipality. From the moment you enter, you'll be impressed. The location features a cafeteria, lush green areas with plenty of trees, a children's playground, and private changing cabins if needed. The restrooms are clean, the beach is entirely sandy, and there are showers available on the beach. Additionally, all the staff members here are friendly and welcoming.
