What can I say about this place? Well, quite a lot actually. I've been coming here since I was a kid and I love it for numerous reasons. First, the view at sunset and of the beach in general is amazing, with the Lorain lighthouse just slightly east of the park adding to the cool factor. They also have a large rose garden, which is awesome when the roses are in full bloom—the fragrance is simply amazing. At the main entrance, there's a larger basket, and I have to mention the big fountain in the middle of the park. Especially after sunset, it lights up in different colors and patterns. This place truly is a treasure for the local area. I'll be back as often as possible. 😎
This place is a hidden treasure. We discovered it a few years ago while searching for something to do, and now we visit regularly. The shops are fantastic, there are plenty of food choices, and the beach gives you a vacation-like feel. My pointer used to love swimming there, though my shihtzu prefers lounging on a blanket under a tree with me. It's one of those rare spots where people bring their dogs to swim, and everyone gets along without any issues. The area is always quiet and clean. I hope it remains this way forever. It's the perfect spot for a relaxing day, even for someone like me who isn't a beach person at all. I highly recommend a visit.
This place isn't exactly what you'd call a park. It features a deck where you can view a small waterfall. However, reaching the "beach" can be quite challenging as the water often covers the steps. It's not suitable for bringing beach towels or chairs, but it's a nice spot to catch a sunset and take a stroll along a small stretch of beach.
