Port of Chorefto beach

The camp offers a beautiful shaded area thanks to the surrounding trees, which is a rare find among camps. The location is also ideal, especially for kayakers. Unfortunately, when we arrived, the camp was not prepared. There was construction work taking place during the day, which seemed odd for late June and early July. The grass was overgrown, and the tent areas were mostly covered in a thick layer of leaves and branches. The common kitchen was covered in spider webs, and the basket in the sanitary facilities was consistently overflowing. With just a little effort, this camp could be wonderful. It is important to maintain it, and I have no doubt that they will take care of it.

I stayed at this beach for 3 days and unfortunately, the electricity was out for 2 of those days. The location was nice, surrounded by trees, but it was situated right in the middle of two busy roads where Diesel-powered trucks were constantly driving by, along with announcement cars starting as early as 6AM. Since dogs were allowed, there was a lot of barking throughout the night. Additionally, motorcycles and cars were allowed to drive onto the campsite at all hours, resulting in continuous noise. If you're hoping for a peaceful night's sleep, I would recommend avoiding this camping spot.

The service was completely unacceptable. The chocolate was served cold, but only filled half a cup and had a lot of ice. However, when I asked for ice separately, they didn't have any available. Additionally, the soft drinks were served hot. On top of that, I had to wait in line for 10 minutes.

Reopening this campsite in Chorefto was a brilliant decision after being closed for years. The renovations are clearly visible, with all the buildings looking fresh and inviting. A great new addition is the cafe bar restaurant, which has a laid-back atmosphere, a variety of delicious food options, and stays open late for those who enjoy a bit of a party. However, due to its popularity, it's advisable to make a reservation in advance. It's also worth mentioning that they are very conscious about hygiene during the pandemic, which is definitely a bonus.

There are plenty of local attractions along the North-East coast! The campsite is surrounded by trees, providing ample shade, and it is impeccably clean. The aesthetics are simply outstanding. The bathrooms and toilets are always spotless, and we never had to endure a cold shower. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the campsite is well-equipped. There is a bar, a restaurant that operates all day, a mini-market, and a boutique on-site. Additionally, there is an outdoor kitchen and a barbecue that guests can use free of charge. Whether you're traveling with friends, your significant other, your family, or your furry four-legged companion, this place is perfect for everyone!
