This was a spectacular day. We took the red A line bus from the train station in Sorrento, which cost about $3 for a round trip. After getting off the bus, we crossed the street and headed for the ruins. It's quite a long walk, so make sure to wear stable shoes and bring plenty of water. It's also a good idea to bring some food, although there is a small market at the bus stop where you can buy fruit, drinks, and other snacks. The walk itself is beautiful, with gorgeous homes tucked along the way. The water is great for swimming, but getting in and out can be tricky due to the sharp rocks near the shore. Be cautious of waves from passing boats when you're near the rocks. Bringing goggles is a good idea, as there are little fish to see. The best spot is past the bath area, where you'll find a large rock area with small pools and many rocks to swim around. We wore our Tevas the entire time.
